FAQ
Rentech Boiler Systems was founded in 1996 and has a rich history and a forward-looking future.
Fired watertube boilers are large industrial boilers used to produce steam for refineries, power plants, chemical plants, manufacturing facilities, central heating plants and any facility that requires large volumes of steam. Learn more about fired watertube boilers here.
Heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) are boilers that utilize the heat from the exhaust of a combustion turbine. HRSGs generate steam used to drive a steam turbine (combined cycle) or for other processes (cogeneration). HRSGs can be provided with or without supplemental duct burners. Learn more about HRSGs here.
Waste heat boilers utilize the heat from the exhaust of an industrial process such as an incinerator or thermal oxidizer. They generate steam that can be used for heating or other processes within the plant. Rentech provides both watertube waste heat and firetube waste heat boiler configurations.
Some boilers are too large to be shipped as a fully assembled unit. Rentech has vast experience designing boilers that can be shipped in large modular sections to be assembled quickly and efficiently in the field. Read more here.
Economizers are heat exchangers installed in the boiler exhaust duct. They are typically used to preheat the boiler feedwater which increases the overall efficiency of the boiler system. See more about Rentech economizers here.
Yes, Rentech has extensive experience firing alternative fuels. These fuels include hydrogen, refinery gas, methanol, ethane, tail gas, and off gas. Liquid fuels such as diesel, naphtha, heavy fuel oils and waste byproducts can also be used as alternative fuels.
