A Perkins Specialized Transportation Contracting vehicle travels through Celina to deliver a 489,000-pound, 126-foot-long, 21-foot-wide mega load containing a boiler to Pratt Industries in Wapakoneta. The boiler will serve a dual purpose of helping make the company’s paper products while also heating the building said Wapakoneta Area Economic Development Council Director Greg Myers.
Rentech and United Way
Abilene’s three RENTECH companies were honored by United Way with the “Large Campaign of the Year” award and were named Pacesetter Company and Campaign Leader. RENTECH employees gave $100,000, increased participation 75 percent and increased giving 79 percent. Positively, members of our team live united!
Our new shop space and panel machine in Abilene enables RENTECH to improve the construction of a boiler’s radiant furnace with our totally water-cooled, headered membrane wall design that eliminates gas seals in corners vulnerable to high temperatures. These RENTECH boilers cannot fail by overheating.
PCA Containerboard Mill
The final day of its 1,300-mile journey from Abilene, Texas, to Tomahawk, Wis., attracted lots of attention for a RENTECH boiler. The boiler was custom designed and built by RENTECH for the containerboard mill of Packaging Corp. of America. The 194-foot rig weighed 539,000 pounds, including the 247,000-pound boiler on a 12-axle trailer. PCA is the fourth largest producer of containerboard in the U.S.
