The problems RENTECH addressed with this client’s boiler were narrow furnace, outdated boiler and combustion controls, and a previous furnace explosion. RENTECH Boiler Systems was contracted to re-design and engineer a furnace for one of the “D” type boilers and supply supervision, labor forces, equipment and materials for the project. Also included were ducting and controls renovation to two “D” type boilers. Controls renovation included state-of-the-art combustion control system (CCS) with required instrumentation supplied by a RENTECH subcontractor, Applied Control Concepts.
