With HRSG boilers from Rentech in its new CHP, Cornell University switches from purchasing 80 percent of its electricity to generating 80 percent. Cornell expects to cut CO2 emissions 20-30 percent below its 1990 level despite an increase of 15 percent in square footage. "We wanted to have a model of efficiency," PE Timothy Peer said.
